Gaming has had a long and colorful history and through the decades, the gaming industry has been unceasing in its efforts to bring only the newest and most innovative gadgets to the market.  Various companies have established their own niches in the gaming industry and among the forerunners is the household name of Sony.  Sony has indeed gained a very firm foothold in this industry with their line of gaming consoles, the name of which is known to almost every kid in the world from age 2 to 92 – the PlayStation.

Ask any kid in most any country today and chances are, they would know all about the PlayStation.  Such is the widespread use of this gaming console that since its inception, it has now reached the 3rd major version.  Despite its immense popularity, things have not always been easy for the PlayStation.  Intense competition with other gaming consoles and production problems are well known to its manufacturers.  Despite glitches, though, the PlayStation has always managed to come out on top of the game.
